Client's Business Need

Our client's building vestibule required a facelift along with an upgrade to their existing fire alarm devices to meet new code requirements.

Solution

This project presented a unique challenge in that the vestibule being renovated was the main access point to the entire building. The vestibule was also the main entry way for night and weekend classes for the University of Phoenix. All the work for this project was required to be performed between midnight and 5am Monday through Sunday and needed to be completed on a very short schedule. Additionally, special care needed to be taken in order to keep the vestibule safe, clean and presentable during business hours.

Rob performed a preliminary pricing exercise and put the project out to bid with three pre-qualified contractors. A contractor was selected who could allocate the appropriate resources to meet the strict timeline of the project. Special coordination was taken with the contractor to complete large sections of this project each night. Further, painting was done on the weekend and special care was taken to minimize offensive odors in the building.

This project was successfully completed on time and without any obstruction to the daily operations of the building or complaints by the building tenants.
